Gateway computers poor quality - Gateway Laptops


I purchased 2 Gateway computers (one was an Acer Aspire) at the beginning of summer. Both, within three months, could not complete a MS update and would freeze on the attempt to revert back. When you do the only solution, which is to restore, it removes everything, including drivers, on the computer rendering it useless. I purchased a third one and within 24 hours it did the same thing (I was able to return that one).
When I attempted to call Gateway, I coudln't get a number to Gateway but would get plenty of outsourced IT Techs that were willing to "fix" my computers for $249 each.
