I've owned a Gateway Laptop for a year a half....since then, I"ve had it repaired 4 times. The screen was replaced, the motherboard replaced, there have been numerous times where it kept freezing-up, and screen kept flickering while charging. I needed this laptop for school and while I was in class doing projects and following along with the instructor......these problems were happening at the same time. So I moreless, missed out on an education I was paying for. As of right now, my laptop has been sitting in the school's IT office for over a month getting another repair. I broke down and bought a MacBook Pro because I need something that I can rely on. The best part about a Mac computer is that if I have any problems, I won't have to speak to someone in India or another country. They do onsite repair or I can take to the Mac store and their IT people will repair it. Mac computers may cost a few bucks more but believe me, it is definitely worth it!
